One Fantastic Falafel
Honestly, this was one of the best falafels I have ever had. Granted, I typically get them from a Mediterranean buffet but they are always great none the less. This however was spectacular.
It is a small hole in the wall restaurant (my favorite) which exceeded any expectations I had previously. It had great reviews but not many and still had the “Now Open” sign up. When I walked in I noticed a small but cute interior. I went up to the counter and the chef (owner?) went behind the counter to help me. Not being there nor knowing the menu I was unsure of what they had available, and I did what I typically do. I asked what was the best there. He showed me their combos which are all priced to satisfy. I chose the 2 falafel for $11.99. He started with pita and was a line much like a Subway. Many different toppings. There wasn’t a single topping I strayed away from, I had them all! Great pita bread, perfect falafel, secret sauce, cucumber, special speared pickle, onion, parsley, yogurt, some spicy pepper mix sauce, and so much more. He rolled it all up and then asked if I wanted it toasted. It was great. I took them both and sat down to enjoy one. Way more than enough for a single person but the falafel was delicious. Each bite contained a bit of everything, nicely tucked within the pita bread.
I took the other with me to eat the next day, and I have to say it was possibly better the next day! I was surprised I could eat something complete vegetarian, especially when I love meats so much, but I can honestly say I loved it. I will absolutely be back and can’t wait to try more!
PS: They do have chicken and gyro, but I did not know it at the time. I will absolutely be trying these too!
