Peruvian Paradise

Being Peruvian I am always on the lookout for a great Peruvian restaurant. I have a few go-tos but always looking for more. Tatya Peruvian Restaurant is definitely making my list. This restaurant is located in Fairview, TX at a place called Revolving Kitchen. This is a communal hub for multiple restaurants. You can order many different cuisines, such as Peruvian, Indian, Vietnamese, and American, just to name a few.

Being my first time there it was a little overwhelming but well worth it! Revolving Kitchen as two ways you can order. The first, from a kiosk by the door. This kiosk has all the options of restaurants and their respective menus. The second way, from your table. There is a QR code on the table and you can use your phone as the kiosk. Everything will be delivered directly to your table. Both ways are great, I utilized the table ordering option. After scanning the QR code and finding Tatya, I noticed the menu looks and sounds amazing. I wanted to try everything. I went with an old classic, Lomo Saltado, and I was with someone who got the Parihuela. Both were absolutely delicious. The Lomo Saltado had perfectly cooked onions and peppers. The fries were expertly made and soaked up all the sauce along with the rice. The steak was perfect and plentiful. This will absolutely be ordered again by me. The Parihuela was something I have never had before but will do so in the future. This particular version had shrimp, chicken and quail eggs. The broth was amazing and fresh. The noodles soaked in all the flavor and the garnishes added a special something to the dish. Along with these, we were treated by the owner Diego, with some roasted corn. These reminded me of corn nuts but 1000 times better, and I love corn nuts. Diego also was extremely kind as we all chatted for a good 30 minutes or so. Towards the end of our meal he brought out some alfajores (Peruvian cookies) which were fantastic. They were not overly large which were perfect for an end of the meal treat.

All in all the meal was perfect. It was everything I could have wanted from a Peruvian restaurant. they had all the Peruvian favorites and the Chinese influenced noodle dishes as well. From our chat with Diego, we also learned that there will be a new physical location for Tatya soon. Keep an eye out as this will be a place you cannot miss. Go and try it!
